Well hello everyone! I hope you are all having a good week. Here in my part of Texas it is SO HOT! I'm so looking forward to this Labor Day weekend. I'm ready to say "so long" to summer and am anxiously awaiting the arrival of cooler days. For this card I used the color story from the
Play Date Cafe. I paired this soft color pallet of Mint, Coral and Ivory with a kraft neutral color. This image is from Clear Arts Stamps called Vintage Silhouettes. The printed paper is from My Minds Eye, and the
Kraft cardstock base is from
The Kraft Outlet. I used the Spellbinder's
Lacey Circles die to cut out some vanilla cardstock on which I stamped my image. I used some twill to make my bow ,also from The Kraft Outlet, and adhered a flower cut with a sizzix die. I also used a Marvy punch for the tag which I punched out of the Kraft cardstock. I added three vintage buttons to the corner of my card and threaded them with some baker's twine. Now, I don't have an air compressor, so I don't stencil with my Copic markers. Instead I just colored using BG10 and BG000 around my image. For the hint of coral, I combined the colors Y11 and R00. Well that does it for this card. I know, that's a lot of punching and die cutting; but I love dies and punches because you can tailor the color or cut to whatever works best in your project. As always thank you so much for stopping by.
