Snow Challenge

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!  We have been our of town celebrating with my family back in my little home town.  It is truly amazing how many people can fit in one house!  Are you ready for another challenge here at the Papercraft Star?  This week we challenge you to use snow in your projects.  For my card I used an adorable image from Taylored Expressions.  I colored the image using Copic markers.  I further embellished using some stickles.  This card came out so easy.  Now that the frantic shopping, gift wrapping, and endless cooking and baking are done take time for yourself and create!  We would love to see what you come up with.  Of course we have a beautiful photo to use for inspiration if you choose or check out the other design team members.  Thanks for stopping by.

O Christmas Tree

Hello Wednesday!  I'm so looking forward to the weekend already.  If I can only get through this week I know I'll be alright.  Are you ready for another challenge over at the Papercraft Star!  This week we challenge you to use a Christmas tree on your project.  Easy right!  For my project I made a December Daily.  I started on November 26th and followed Kathy Orta's tutorial on youtube.  Since she didn't finish the binding video until after December 1st,  I had to alter mine from hers in order to have it ready to start December 1st.  The idea is to journal and record the things you do on each day of the month.  So far I've been pretty good at taking pictures each day of things I've done and am looking forward to filling it up.  I plan on doing a video to show all the interactive pages in this book so keep checking back!  This week we have a wonderful inspiration photo to get your creativity flowing.  For even more inspiration check out what PCS design team has created.  So give this one a try and you could be our next Papercraft Star!!!!

Is it February yet?

Hello fellow crafters.  Here with a card I made using Mojo Sketch 270.  This time of year is so super busy for me.  There are so many activities at church and school for my little ones.  How can a crafter possibly keep up?!  I decided to take a little break from the Christmas crafting, and create a card for Valentines day.  I just used what I had on hand from last year and I have to say not too bad.  This was such a fun sketch I had no trouble whipping this one out.  Thank you Carole, I'll have to file this one away as one of my favorites.  I hope you all have had a wonderful weekend, and thank you for taking the time to give my card a look.

Vintage inspired Christmas Post Cards

Hello all!  I'm here with another project I made for a swap I joined over at Your Paper Pantry for the Vintage Postcards group.  For this particular month we were challenged to make vintage inspired postcards.  I found this darling digital image and printed her out on some buttercream cardstock.  I then matted it on some baja breeze cardstock that I distressed using some craft white from SU.  Using a Quick Cuts die I cut out a 4" x 6" scalloped rectangle.  Next I added a digital music print out from The House Across The Bay and stitched around the music sheet.  Next I tucked in a doily behind the image.  Digging into my stash of vintage lace I found some gathered lace and adhered it onto the postcard.  Next I tied some seam binding and adhered a Michael's poinsettia.  A stick pin I made to match this pastel beauty finishes off this postcard.  I had so much fun creating this project.  I'd like to enter this in the Ribbon Reel pastel challenge.  Stop by their blog and see all the beautiful DT creations.  They are simply stunning!  I hope you are all having a good week and thank you for stopping by.

Gold Challenge

Hello Wednesday.  I hope you  are ready for another fun challenge over at the Papercraft Star!  This week we challenge you to include gold in your holiday project.  We have a beautiful inspiration photo to use if you choose.  For my card I embossed some Buttercream cardstock and rubbed the raised area with some versa mark.  I then sprinkled some gold embossing power on it and heat set it.  The image is a digital image from Iralamijashop Etsy shop.  I then added a hand made flower from my YPP Sister:-) Larissa of Larissa Heskett Designs.  I just love how the little gold bling in the center works perfectly with this card.  Of course a little seam binding finishes my card off.  Last week over at the Papercraft Star we had an amazing array of beautiful project and I'm looking forward to seeing the creativity this week.  I hope you'll be able to join in our "Gold Challenge"!  Have a wonderful week.

Kraft Journal Challenge Clean and Simple

Now that's a challenge!  I struggle with clean and simple.  I tend to over embellish sometimes.  I feel like some of my cards look like my embellishment drawer threw up on them!  For this card I limited myself to a sticker and one little bling.  Now that's restraint!  I started off with some kraft cardstock matted with some Choice Buttercream.  The stamped image is from SU and is stamped with Always Artichoke.  For my sentiment I used a Tim Holtz stamp inked with the same Always Artichoke.  The ric-rac sticker is from My Minds Eye.  That's it.  That's the best I can do to restrain myself.  I hope everyone is having a good week and thanks for taking a peek!

Mojo Monday 269

Hello everyone!  I'm going to try to do more post on my blog this month to keep the mojo flowing.  What better way to start it off than to do this past week's Mojo Monday sketch.  I chose to do the square version of of this sketch.  I used patterned papers from Authentique's Christmas line.  I pretty much stuck to the sketch and just added some liquid pearls to the wreath.  This one is not too embellished because I do want to be able to send it through the mail without having to pay a package rate!  Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and thank you so much for stopping by my blog:-)
