I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Monday is here again and we have another fun challenge for you over at the Kraft Journal. This week's challenge theme is "Leftovers". For my project I started with a Buff/Ivory cardstock as my base and began to layer on scraps of patterned paper from one of my Prima paper pads. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwFFakRp_2nW4TY2qhLXdaetQiJAYtrj2l7sRknnbsKGZq211hSBCveOTnzeE6d2BddpiE1Puzn_CQb21zdrg1uvejrGIWC97vaohGqnwyZahVLjyZLaBVCFrGA9ej9s_4RHwqdumg0hI/s1600/TKJ199.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwFFakRp_2nW4TY2qhLXdaetQiJAYtrj2l7sRknnbsKGZq211hSBCveOTnzeE6d2BddpiE1Puzn_CQb21zdrg1uvejrGIWC97vaohGqnwyZahVLjyZLaBVCFrGA9ej9s_4RHwqdumg0hI/s1600/TKJ199.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For this card I used Prima's Romance Novel paper pad. I had three scrap pieces that I used to create the background. Then using my scraps of cardstock I stamped out a sentiment from TPC, and fussy cut around the sentiment. A scrap of seam binding is tied onto my card, and some ephemera from Tim Holtz Thrift Shop Ephemera pack is tucked behind the sentiment. I hope you get a chance to play along with this week's challenge, I'd love to see what you create!</div>

Never fear thought there is a fun Sketch Challenge over a the Kraft Journal to get us through it! <br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
For this week's challenge I created a bright card using some Buff/Ivory cardstock as my base. I then adhered a floral patterned paper from Pebbles, Family Ties paper pack along with a coordinating yellow print. To break up the busy patterns I added a piece of Brown Kraft cardstock between the two. Next following the sketch, I added a banner cut from more of the patterned paper from the Family Ties collection and matted it with a navy cardstock. For fun I added some Tape Measure Washi Tape to the top of the banner.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh54moLgd1hTt1NjMIfISFR_o16wve070UR-QaxPEyt6ZaY0YndU0BTMJJDCIr8O43-ARzuvW0zgug_kXGxTsUjFextWFX8YlgFZ76anihsCK_a7ptAgYiWxzcSIgjewWMb3BCrj6iTiTg/s1600/TKJ198.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh54moLgd1hTt1NjMIfISFR_o16wve070UR-QaxPEyt6ZaY0YndU0BTMJJDCIr8O43-ARzuvW0zgug_kXGxTsUjFextWFX8YlgFZ76anihsCK_a7ptAgYiWxzcSIgjewWMb3BCrj6iTiTg/s1600/TKJ198.jpg" height="320" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
For the sentiment I stamped onto more of the Buff/Ivory cardstock in Not Quite Nave ink. Lastly I tied some Hand Stained seam binding in Butter and tied a simple bow. I hope you give this challenge a try. Thank you for stopping by and have a great week!<br />

For this week's challenge over at the Kraft Journal we're creating projects with at Tall and Skinny theme. For my project I created a Christmas card using a Gorjuss Girl stamp. I started out with a Buff/Ivory notecard from the Kraft Outlet. I cut it to create a "skinny" card, and used my scalloped edge punch. The patterned paper is from Echo Park, along with some Vintage Sheet Music . The sentiment and ephemera tucked behind the music paper is from Graphic 45. To create a more Christmas look to the Gorjuss Girl image, I added a Santa hat image from a Taylored Expressons stamp set. I just love combining stamps together to create a unique look. This card came together so easily. I hope you have a chance to play along in this week's challenge. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful week!</div>

I covered the bag with a tissue first. Then I choose an adorable little ginger bread image from the <a href="http://www.kraftoutlet.com/Between-Prim-Friends-Vol-1-_p_40.html" style="color: #919191; text-decoration: none;">Between Prim Friends Vol. 1</a> download, and pasted it onto my label template. Once I had all the images I wanted on my label sheet I printed the labels out. I think this label makes the perfect embellishment to this little altered bag! Of course you could also use this technique for addressing your holiday packages that are sent through the mail. </div>
<div class="separator" style="background-color: white; clear: both; color: #535353; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; text-align: center;">

For my next project I used a Round Label for packaging some popcorn. Again I used an image from the Between Prim Friends Vol. 1, and printed it directly onto the Kraft label. I then adhered the label onto the jar and added some simple embellishments onto the lid. For further embellishment I tied some <a href="http://www.kraftoutlet.com/Natural-Hemp-Cord_p_230.html" style="color: #919191; text-decoration: none;">Natural Hemp Cord</a> onto the jar. I love the way this turned out. This would also be perfect using cookie mix in the jar! These labels can really add the extra touch to all your handmade gifts!</div>

Those of us in the U.S are probably still adjusting to the time change that happened over the weekend. I know I am! One thing for sure is you can always count on there being a great challenge over at the Kraft Journal. This week's challenge is to use a critter in your projects. <br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For my card I used an adorable little duckling from Clear Art Stamps. I started with a Lunch Bag cardstock from the <a href="http://www.kraftoutlet.com/">Kraft Outlet</a> as my base and matted some patterned paper from Aunthique"s Renew collection. I then stamped my image onto some Buff Ivory Cardstock with Memento ink in black and colored with Prisma colored pencils. The image is matted onto some Blackboard Stock paper scraps I had. Next I matted some Gingham patterned paper from the same paper line and again matted with the Blackboard stock paper. I used some Script Washi tape from the <a href="http://www.kraftoutlet.com/">Kraft Outlet </a>along with some Black Baker's Twine. For my sentiment I used a small label die from Spellbinders Label's Four, and attached using a mini clothes pin. I just love how this little card turned out. To see more creations using "critters" be sure to stop by the <a href="http://www.kraftoutlet.com/">Kraft Journal blog</a> to see what the other fabulous design team has created to further inspire you. I hope you have a wonderful week and I look forward to seeing what you create.</div>

Ugly Paper!It's that time again! Over at the Kraft Journal this week's challenge is to use "Ugly Paper" in your project. Now I try my best not to purchase ugly paper however, every now and then there is a difficult sheet in a paper pack that makes it hard for me to use. For my project this week I used an orange and brown print paper.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7UIK-cHRmqmLep6-OjFt-l7EIhqGL5ctKmMgmSM8XXYkd4MqMx6YoEi1z9nQiUC62iNbxYD8MnK9DZN-9Sdsy9yDj844Y93cPqAkvbqZYNPsN6f_0TEZCTPD87o-hq7gCKnJDQi8MaXo/s1600/TKJ196.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7UIK-cHRmqmLep6-OjFt-l7EIhqGL5ctKmMgmSM8XXYkd4MqMx6YoEi1z9nQiUC62iNbxYD8MnK9DZN-9Sdsy9yDj844Y93cPqAkvbqZYNPsN6f_0TEZCTPD87o-hq7gCKnJDQi8MaXo/s1600/TKJ196.jpg" height="320" width="239" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The base is made from a <a href="http://www.kraftoutlet.com/Large-BuffIvory-Note-Card-_p_115.html">Large Buff/Ivory note card</a> which I cut the sides down to make a tall and skinny card. Pairing some of the great products from the Kraft Outlet with this patterned paper I was happy with the way this turned out. The Vintage Music Sheet was a must for me. I just love the way that print broke up the orange and brown paper. I then embossed a piece of Close to Cocoa cardstock and added it to the music sheet piece. Later I went back and added some <a href="http://www.kraftoutlet.com/Hand-Stained-Bias-Tape--Rose-Beige_p_310.html">Rose Beige</a> Seam binding and a <a href="http://www.kraftoutlet.com/Memo-Pins_p_159.html">Memo Pin</a>. I added my sentiment to the memo pin that is perfect for an Anniversary! The image is a sticker adhered to a wooden doily. I can't wait to see what you all create for this challenge. Thank you for stopping by and as always be sure to see what the other fabulous design team members have created to further inspire you!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is a great inspiration photo, so of course I was inspired to create a Halloween card.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Using some Lunch Bag Kraft cardstock as my base I distressed using some black soot. I then matted some orange polka dot patterned paper. I added a simple striped border piece matted onto some Backboard Stock paper. I tucked a scalloped border using Vintage Dictionary pages. I then tied some Natural Hemp Cording around the border piece. For my image I used a digital image from an Etsy shop and matted onto a pinked circle which was also distressed with black soot. This color challenge is so fun I hope you get a chance to play along. I think I'll be challenging myself to create more cards using this color story. I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend. I spent the weekend back in my hometown and met up with many old friends! It's good to be back home playing along in this week's challenge over at the Kraft Journal. This week's challenge is "All That Glitters". For my card I used a Lunch Bag cardstock as my base. I can't say how much I love pairing Kraft with Shabby papers. I matted some First Edition Bella Rose paper onto the Kraft base. Next I added some seam binding with a multi looped <a href="http://www.kraftoutlet.com/Pink-Bakers-Twine-_p_83.html">Pink Baker's Twine</a>. I then added a piece of a small<a href="http://www.kraftoutlet.com/Small-Kraft-Shipping-Tags_p_122.html"> Kraft Shipping tag</a> that I matted with a pink cardstock. I then added a glittered tag to the front from my stash and added a small Kraft matted banner. <br />

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. This week over at the Kraft Journal the challenge is to create a project with NO patterned paper! What a challenge indeed! I love patterned paper so this was truly a challenge for me. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4xAyfKR4jn_ah6rLKSvNFbAEZBtR62D6a3ZJ90DWgHLiysSGeLSH6Zo7fYQg32Z7fJaFy55dug7ZWR6y6tNoOqiZk4ebwt8jf-UUGgHVqGK3MvnUrCrSExP55GvWSXdoy6RfnZr_K6Y4/s1600/TKJC192.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4xAyfKR4jn_ah6rLKSvNFbAEZBtR62D6a3ZJ90DWgHLiysSGeLSH6Zo7fYQg32Z7fJaFy55dug7ZWR6y6tNoOqiZk4ebwt8jf-UUGgHVqGK3MvnUrCrSExP55GvWSXdoy6RfnZr_K6Y4/s1600/TKJC192.jpg" height="229" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
To create this card I used a notecard from the Kraft Journal. Love having these notecards on hand for to create quick cards. I added some music washi tape and adhered a scalloped boarder along the bottom. Next I added some Hand Stained seam binding. I created a multi looped bow using Baker's Twine in black. I used a stamp from Stampendous which I stamped in Black. I then matted it on to some Chalkboard stock paper. I small die cut accents the stamped image that I tucked behind the image. This card came together quickly and I love the way it turned out. I hope you have a chance to try this one out this week. </div>

This week it's all about buttons and bows! Now I know Christmas is a few months away but I just couldn't resist creating these little ornaments.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixbAtRlcFjcx2Cpx8KA3_oJxwJFdHCq18uqHuSae6jHO2_-RtWmJoqZGvv55bVQqbY-jfBKRG0-qxQ2LzDE3C3a3zz9by4z3weVtyYqzC212eEkphRPA3E0yd4UZUhyphenhyphen6l874452T3ulzU/s1600/TKJ191.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixbAtRlcFjcx2Cpx8KA3_oJxwJFdHCq18uqHuSae6jHO2_-RtWmJoqZGvv55bVQqbY-jfBKRG0-qxQ2LzDE3C3a3zz9by4z3weVtyYqzC212eEkphRPA3E0yd4UZUhyphenhyphen6l874452T3ulzU/s1600/TKJ191.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I started by painting mini tart tins and lining them with some Vintage Dictionary pages from The <a href="http://www.kraftoutlet.com/">Kraft Outlet</a>. The Vintage Music Sheet from the <a href="http://www.kraftoutlet.com/">Kraft Outlet</a> would have looked so pretty as well! I then distressed the edges using a Tea Dyed marker. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwngYPPytpGgl2kxDg3mou1k4OM6LQVXvFaAQr205n6pv3rwHQn8cDrk9aCR7SDAGQ_SwmH4-VdLlPOu4L5rUgTZnTteySo9wMsUqsi4A_Cl0zswWMkB4GU3uMCr6J4oOSkL-_jBy-c9Q/s1600/TKJ191a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwngYPPytpGgl2kxDg3mou1k4OM6LQVXvFaAQr205n6pv3rwHQn8cDrk9aCR7SDAGQ_SwmH4-VdLlPOu4L5rUgTZnTteySo9wMsUqsi4A_Cl0zswWMkB4GU3uMCr6J4oOSkL-_jBy-c9Q/s1600/TKJ191a.jpg" height="320" width="234" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I added a rhinestone button to the center of the round tin and adhered a Hand Stained Bias tape from the Kraft Outlet. To hang the ornament I added some Natural Hemp Cord. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQnYAFhyphenhyphenUb0AFUaLX3GleTY_WfClPH47G8lq70O4mTDSxwlMxb-ku_MCcNfz_AqpL6t2TlQ2G3NjKdZgfSEbKhSpqVJF2Fq3QR5GxYp-_nLRRhEY2-JtmEy77XiuXc4Gq_iUiBJp0ioYw/s1600/TKJ191b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQnYAFhyphenhyphenUb0AFUaLX3GleTY_WfClPH47G8lq70O4mTDSxwlMxb-ku_MCcNfz_AqpL6t2TlQ2G3NjKdZgfSEbKhSpqVJF2Fq3QR5GxYp-_nLRRhEY2-JtmEy77XiuXc4Gq_iUiBJp0ioYw/s1600/TKJ191b.jpg" height="320" width="233" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For this triangular tin I added a small Christmas tree to the center of the Vintage Dictionary page. For the bow I used some more of the Hand Stained Seam binding in Oatmeal Cream. To the center of the bow I added a vintage button from my stash. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKGqdPcgnCUgmCn_ALGwnKCqbYMduhz3csDYt-RrNuw_WlyOwC9L21kb3TM7nxKbOG0Gni9wo5aTQecYRmNjkbqcqxhZmUl4dFAu6AiHmQOrMBzd6OdceD4sVSSwx-ChAi3SuGIr279GY/s1600/TKJ191c.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKGqdPcgnCUgmCn_ALGwnKCqbYMduhz3csDYt-RrNuw_WlyOwC9L21kb3TM7nxKbOG0Gni9wo5aTQecYRmNjkbqcqxhZmUl4dFAu6AiHmQOrMBzd6OdceD4sVSSwx-ChAi3SuGIr279GY/s1600/TKJ191c.jpg" height="320" width="233" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For my last ornament I added a Christmas charm to the center of the Vintage Dictionary page, which was also distressed with the Tea Dyed marker. I added some pieces of a crocheted doily and another sweet Hand Stained Bias Tape bow in Aqua Mist. To the center of the bow I adhered another vintage button to the center of the bow. More of the Natural Hemp cord is strung through the tin to create a way to hang the ornament. These were so fun to make I love using the vintage embellishments the Kraft Outlet offers! I hope you give this challenge a try. Be sure to see what the Design team has created to further inspire you! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend. This week's challenge over at the Kraft Journal is a Sketch. I love me a good sketch. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0xyepF1SuTlDUEwSU_R9lYkWnZ6m_jdkQIe0j9ePS8Ya2nz2tOAfhxHJ5dhpqQ8Fg6mYcOpuemSyZJa9ZN1qINBx_JliBwis-6Khg53akHraNgHQ93iH97iBqi1IqMbV-oCqANSoOAWw/s1600/sketch190.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0xyepF1SuTlDUEwSU_R9lYkWnZ6m_jdkQIe0j9ePS8Ya2nz2tOAfhxHJ5dhpqQ8Fg6mYcOpuemSyZJa9ZN1qINBx_JliBwis-6Khg53akHraNgHQ93iH97iBqi1IqMbV-oCqANSoOAWw/s1600/sketch190.jpg" height="320" width="215" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For my project I used a Lunch Bag cardstock for my base. Using patterned papers from First Edition's Floral Pavillion paper pad. I just love these shabby papers. They are my new favorite!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjalDk06Sjib0kK0s22zm0jYSucP52NqLPbY7-hMxl7XtsoTzaCdc8gHF5BlJgv6ZCeHkoHFiTJlYKt3cAjE1Jr_Dzk4uC1kVV2kJ85b4_pZKylitPL98SKJ351FIq3doy38okQD9OoG7E/s1600/TKJ190a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjalDk06Sjib0kK0s22zm0jYSucP52NqLPbY7-hMxl7XtsoTzaCdc8gHF5BlJgv6ZCeHkoHFiTJlYKt3cAjE1Jr_Dzk4uC1kVV2kJ85b4_pZKylitPL98SKJ351FIq3doy38okQD9OoG7E/s1600/TKJ190a.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Next following the sketch I added three squares of striped paper also from the Floral Pavillion pack which I matted with more of the Lunch Bag Cardstock. Using some Aqua seam binding I tied a simple bow which I added a layered flower and leaves. For an added embellishment I tucked an office space chipboard button that I threaded some Natural hemp cord through. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_YW8YqUKGl4Usahcsw0YikBLxyWkLtWfP0ro3MpK-JeUmJHPPeyuIPvi4-jknB6gOZUrIMTCpley_KGU7H9fQjZ4SZ-_LXEqZ_muE6z46V5rSw74aG8WOm_rItR4EELir34xkN1ErKZE/s1600/TKJ190b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_YW8YqUKGl4Usahcsw0YikBLxyWkLtWfP0ro3MpK-JeUmJHPPeyuIPvi4-jknB6gOZUrIMTCpley_KGU7H9fQjZ4SZ-_LXEqZ_muE6z46V5rSw74aG8WOm_rItR4EELir34xkN1ErKZE/s1600/TKJ190b.jpg" height="255" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For the center focal point I stamped a Doily image from Recollections in Crumb Cake ink, that I fussy cut and adhered to the base. I stamped my sentiment onto a Pearlized Label, that I matted in Rose Red cardstock from SU. The "Thank You" is from a SU stamp set. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For my project I created a Library Card and Pocket for my tag. First I printed directly on to the library card using an image from Iralamija shop on Etsy. I just love the shabby chic images at this Etsy shop. I then punched the corners with a tag corner punch, and matted it onto some Light Kraft cardstock. Next I took a Library pocket and covered it in my favorite patterned paper from The Girl's Paperie. I have been hoarding this paper for a LONG time. I'm trying to get better at not hoarding my papers. Next I added some ruler washi tape and a edge punched piece of lime green cardstock. For my image I stamped an image from C. C designs called Kiki La Rue. I then colored Kiki with Copic Markers and paper pieced her dress and shoes. I just love how this came out! I think this would be a great way to give a gift card. I hope you get a chance to play along this week.</div>

Where has the time gone? No worries to get you over the Wednesday hump I have a fun little project to share with you. I created this little mini album for the Kraft Journal using Open ended policy envelopes from the Kraft Outlet. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivJYa1W90Z5vomre1X98nev-AvWtlPhtnelvnXdzYNGy5XpwffgpZ0YuKpUvmaXftJiGgF8vr5PnIenidpXKeRmCy5c4Aj66iEkHxRE5tqPDP9VrqPFILIojRZojNS3ZYLjOGDzUS5e1s/s1600/WUWenvelopes.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivJYa1W90Z5vomre1X98nev-AvWtlPhtnelvnXdzYNGy5XpwffgpZ0YuKpUvmaXftJiGgF8vr5PnIenidpXKeRmCy5c4Aj66iEkHxRE5tqPDP9VrqPFILIojRZojNS3ZYLjOGDzUS5e1s/s1600/WUWenvelopes.jpg" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
First I cut the envelopes down to measure 7 1/4". I kept the leftover piece to create pockets for the album. Next using <a href="http://www.kraftoutlet.com/Precut-Chipboard-Full-Sheet_p_80.html">Precut Chipboard in the Full Sheet</a> I cut the chipboard slightly bigger than the Policy Envelopes measuring 7 1/2" x 4 1/2". For the spine I cut more of the chipboard measuring 2 1/4" x 4 1/2". </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwpAhcmHA8936M9h-W8Bt1f4RNxjMdzBsvrftXoZCypa-FTY6MoOrdHg_VY3NXzrxGHoXLSkH_nteGtz84gGi5RJBMCioMJwt_BRecS9LgertmN2P0mXjAXPi1gnI2CDapeVq3UEvxbYI/s1600/WUWENVELOPES+5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwpAhcmHA8936M9h-W8Bt1f4RNxjMdzBsvrftXoZCypa-FTY6MoOrdHg_VY3NXzrxGHoXLSkH_nteGtz84gGi5RJBMCioMJwt_BRecS9LgertmN2P0mXjAXPi1gnI2CDapeVq3UEvxbYI/s1600/WUWENVELOPES+5.jpg" height="208" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is a great way to create your own mini albums in any size! To cover my chipboard I used <a href="http://www.kraftoutlet.com/Lunch-Bag-Kraft-Cover-Weight-Cardstock-_p_20.html">Lunch Bag Kraft Cardstock</a>. In the following photo I have used black cardstock to better show the process.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFdbcehCkS2IklQPMXJ3F8v-It0_gn_Ht7BZGTRlwJCWmPHQvmPW-zMOOX0LKHe3yeCc4VWtVcYv3cUdfsMlQKguglgw1cbVInQt94PgY254jY0MgMmhV2kJjgKe7E3D3Kaxvo_Rv6wRo/s1600/WUWenvelopes+6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFdbcehCkS2IklQPMXJ3F8v-It0_gn_Ht7BZGTRlwJCWmPHQvmPW-zMOOX0LKHe3yeCc4VWtVcYv3cUdfsMlQKguglgw1cbVInQt94PgY254jY0MgMmhV2kJjgKe7E3D3Kaxvo_Rv6wRo/s1600/WUWenvelopes+6.jpg" height="199" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For best results on the cover I like to use a strong adhesive tape like a Score tape, or Red line tape. Using a liquid glue may cause the cardstock to warp. From this step you fold over the cardstock onto the inside of the chipboard album. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFdTzH0jGA7wQb4pSwMaEkPUbw-ZOrNCQYBtuRca9IKjdJBlsYQfLmGXokzYi-9de2H6QbeQqdz1BjZLZ8mC4Z8dDKL3iDiPNRHoShnHLrDmCcdxIvQfyclVm0MStUPLde0sut9ru5O5k/s1600/WUWenvelopes+7.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFdTzH0jGA7wQb4pSwMaEkPUbw-ZOrNCQYBtuRca9IKjdJBlsYQfLmGXokzYi-9de2H6QbeQqdz1BjZLZ8mC4Z8dDKL3iDiPNRHoShnHLrDmCcdxIvQfyclVm0MStUPLde0sut9ru5O5k/s1600/WUWenvelopes+7.jpg" height="290" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Mitering the corners will cut down on bulk and give you a better finish. From this step you would add the hinges. You could do a "<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Z_6pe2ZhDI">Stack the Deck</a>" binding system or a "<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nUtkJ9u6M6w">Hidden Hinge</a>" system. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
With either of these systems you can slip the envelopes right onto the hinge. I love doing either of these hinge systems to keep the albums real neat. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMJu2BnFDIrPLSQuIvYDA5Tzjonrspf3OjuMMBApE4_q40l1BTlhPCsiLI1tlrts0_Mvh5XmNw7zZSu4EHcqio5LQqxyd2_1NI1wp2W_whMLIsKdWdODjKwPT5ZzMk_Wz8RuHkLl3LKEg/s1600/WUWenvelopes+8.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMJu2BnFDIrPLSQuIvYDA5Tzjonrspf3OjuMMBApE4_q40l1BTlhPCsiLI1tlrts0_Mvh5XmNw7zZSu4EHcqio5LQqxyd2_1NI1wp2W_whMLIsKdWdODjKwPT5ZzMk_Wz8RuHkLl3LKEg/s1600/WUWenvelopes+8.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now the fun part is decorating the pages! The Kraft Outlet has loads of fun embellishments and I used many stickers from the <a href="http://www.kraftoutlet.com/Salvage-Stickers--Destinations_p_189.html">Destinations Salvage Sticker</a> pack. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIfhev9YnuEL68lBN-9UOdApvOSGyc1vRdsljIZzUpAxuaITUVt2kpjAa8p3WbOpnfjCPZnY7VclOA9DhWtt07YlQJOIV4Fqx7fLQOzPYMAaVq04fSskILdxQ2VZ1e8uoi53kXuDEiP-E/s1600/WUWenvelopes+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIfhev9YnuEL68lBN-9UOdApvOSGyc1vRdsljIZzUpAxuaITUVt2kpjAa8p3WbOpnfjCPZnY7VclOA9DhWtt07YlQJOIV4Fqx7fLQOzPYMAaVq04fSskILdxQ2VZ1e8uoi53kXuDEiP-E/s1600/WUWenvelopes+2.jpg" height="238" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Because this envelope opens from the side you can add a mat inside the envelope adding loads of places for journaling and photos!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVI_PqF5dCTeHJGV-SePpICkZp9j7awuizdFRp74LirKTDShrKpQjHgaXWVMj3bdZlSIf-KvNOs0IBma_yFTundGtTrJRzuWXVpZFgItD3USOpLRu2KKCgOtXzdo1RXv0jkFdyCV-zRSU/s1600/WUWenvelopes+9.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVI_PqF5dCTeHJGV-SePpICkZp9j7awuizdFRp74LirKTDShrKpQjHgaXWVMj3bdZlSIf-KvNOs0IBma_yFTundGtTrJRzuWXVpZFgItD3USOpLRu2KKCgOtXzdo1RXv0jkFdyCV-zRSU/s1600/WUWenvelopes+9.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Remember the left over envelopes we cut off? Don't throw those away because they make great pockets! What better embellishment to add to the pocket than a <a href="http://www.kraftoutlet.com/White-Library-Card_p_93.html">Library card</a>!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

It's time for another Kraft Journal challenge! I hope everyone in the US is enjoying the long Labor Day weekend. We'd love to have you join us this week's "ruffle" challenge. <br />
For my project I started with a Kraft cardstock base. Next I used a beautiful floral patterned paper from Marion Smith's Garment district, and matted it onto some Chocolate Chip cardstock and adhered it to the base. I stamped a dress form image in Chocolate chip ink and popped it up using pop dots. Next I added a ruffled some <a href="http://www.kraftoutlet.com/Specialty-Paper_c_13.html">Kraft Recycled Tissue Paper</a> and adhered that to the bottom of my card along with a piece of lace from my stash and some <a href="http://www.kraftoutlet.com/Hand-Stained-Bias-Tape--Rose-Beige_p_310.html">Rose Beige</a> seam binding. To add further embellishment to my card I tucked a ruled sticker from the Lost and Found Salvage sticker pack along with a label with my sentiment stamped onto it. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHaHI7kX1BriofJhVVPZ8FGpzQUgDJ7DgzcOkB2w9B8gKL2oFSHPT_dD5CfqHVke_eIODvzECWvNUU6u41aH7KtPqZI9bhm5XFTgdrARf-Jda-J8gu88CQbXQ-KJcXxT4Z8uDj9NNg3zc/s1600/TKJruffles.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHaHI7kX1BriofJhVVPZ8FGpzQUgDJ7DgzcOkB2w9B8gKL2oFSHPT_dD5CfqHVke_eIODvzECWvNUU6u41aH7KtPqZI9bhm5XFTgdrARf-Jda-J8gu88CQbXQ-KJcXxT4Z8uDj9NNg3zc/s1600/TKJruffles.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I know a couple of girls who have learned to sew over the summer, and this would be a perfect card to send to them! I love to see what you create. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"><span style="font-family: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"><span style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"><span style="color: #990000; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"></span></span></span></span><br />
<span style="color: #990000;">As always, participants in our weekly challenges have a chance to be selected as our Featured Artist and showcased on one of our "Feature Me Fridays" posts. Each month Kraft Outlet will randomly give away a $15.00 Store Voucher at www.KraftOutlet.com!</span></div>

Today if the first day of school for both my little darlings. What will I do with myself now that both kiddos are in school! Join in on this week's Kraft Journal challenge of course! This week's challenge is to use your punches in your project. For my card I used my corner punches along with an edge punch.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgs8CneB66fXUwI3VyPaM3eU6Js9k5S-7j4W0Yo9mcTZfqGDCXCyJzYR3o_hr5KU4B6x3QJuUF2R0UaMg2WzLct6_sT885YaE0jVXPCy_vnLVpCk3g66zwYqFtl_wWfIsvtZQwD_ta0bXM/s1600/TKJpunches.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgs8CneB66fXUwI3VyPaM3eU6Js9k5S-7j4W0Yo9mcTZfqGDCXCyJzYR3o_hr5KU4B6x3QJuUF2R0UaMg2WzLct6_sT885YaE0jVXPCy_vnLVpCk3g66zwYqFtl_wWfIsvtZQwD_ta0bXM/s1600/TKJpunches.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Using a Lunch bag cardstock, I distressed the edges using Black Soot. Next I took some Buff Ivory cardstock and stamped some music notes onto it. Using patterned papers from Graphic 45 I matted my main image with some Blackboard Stock paper along with my sentiment which I punched out using the fancy word punch from SU. To add a bit of detail to the patterned papers I used a ticket punch and a corner rounder punch. I added a multi looped black baker's twine to which I adhered a vintage button to. I'd love to see what you create using punches. Please be sure to stop by the Kraft Outlet blog to see what our amazing design team has created to further to inspire you. Have a great week and thank you for stopping by.</div>

This week we have a color challenge for you.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiS9TgWyzlzQMnKcQiIJWcCZbThCPEi1hKLahnc10JxjnbjIAwQTuqVr1Mg6OAIf8_8BSfS1emA8t4Ofaw6E1SrC6DcCKK7dOlliHMZc5VjJ-m35VxVih_NytLCU5Ti78TU00zVDLQyGu0/s1600/colorswatch-185.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiS9TgWyzlzQMnKcQiIJWcCZbThCPEi1hKLahnc10JxjnbjIAwQTuqVr1Mg6OAIf8_8BSfS1emA8t4Ofaw6E1SrC6DcCKK7dOlliHMZc5VjJ-m35VxVih_NytLCU5Ti78TU00zVDLQyGu0/s1600/colorswatch-185.jpg" height="320" width="248" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This color combo is so bright I had a true challenge on my hands. With elements from the Kraft Outlet I was able to create this mixed media card.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6s0Yw5kyrN32WTHNI2LE6YplnZlf0vEyJ9ATc8lOJ6LFHoKo_SRTwa1XUNQ5Cck5YDwaet3bUqc5xjJWvmdG50lTud06leA0n69RB_aYFR8x08ZE1Qy9iwLNDSNny4QECzXrBL_lXLG4/s1600/TKJ190.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6s0Yw5kyrN32WTHNI2LE6YplnZlf0vEyJ9ATc8lOJ6LFHoKo_SRTwa1XUNQ5Cck5YDwaet3bUqc5xjJWvmdG50lTud06leA0n69RB_aYFR8x08ZE1Qy9iwLNDSNny4QECzXrBL_lXLG4/s1600/TKJ190.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Using a Buff Ivory cardstock as my base I matted some patterned paper from the Paper Studio. I used a chevron stencil and some hot pink acrylic paint to add additional pattern onto the floral print. Next I added some tea dyed gauze for some added texture. Using elements from Thrift Shop ephemera pack I added a number card that I heavily distressed using some Tim Holtz seedless preservers ink. A small sticker ticket from the Lost and Found sticker sheet. Next I stamped this perfect sentiment onto some more of the Buff Ivory cardstock and distressed the edges with some hot pink ink. To bring out the green I edged punched some green cardstock and added some green hemp cord from the <a href="http://www.kraftoutlet.com/Bright-Hemp-Cord_p_233.html">Bright Hemp</a> cord pack. This card is not my usual style, but is was so fun to make! I hope you get a chance to play along with us this week!</div>

Over at the <a href="http://thekraftjournal.blogspot.com/">Kraft Journal</a> this week's challenge is Dicitoanry pages! When I think of dictionary pages I think of back to school! I'm counting the days until the 1st day! This year I'm on the PTA board at my children's school so it's a big deal! I created this card for my son's teacher. <div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Starting with a Kraft Note card I matted some black cardstock along with some Vintage Dictionary pages from the Kraft Outlet. Next I added some gingham patterned paper from Graphic 45's ABC Primer line. Then I fussy cut some of the flash cards from more of the Graphic 45"s ABC Primer paper. I added some black Hemp Cord and tied a small bow. Next I added a ruler sticker from the Lost and Found Salvage sticker pack along with some ephemera from the <a href="http://www.kraftoutlet.com/Ephemera-Pack--Thrift-Shop_p_330.html">Thrift Shop</a> pack. To personalize the card I hand wrote the "3rd" and "grade". Wishing all the teachers and students a great school year. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a chance to play in this week's challenge. For more inspiration please stop The Kraft Journal to see what the design team has created!</div>

This week's challenge is so much fun, I can hardly wait to see what you create! For the "Funky Junk" challenge I altered a vintage bottle I found years ago on a Texas Ranch. My cousin's family owed a small ranch in Texas which we would visit from time to time. On one of the visits we found several vintage bottles buried in the dirt. Many were broken, but several were complete. I wish I would have kept more but I only left with one. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
First I adhered some Vintage Music Sheet Paper to the bottle. Next I added an image I found in my pack of Vintage Dictionary paper from the Kraft Journal. Using laces from my stash I adhered some cotton lace to the bottom as well as some seam lace and crocheted lace to the top. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I distressed the parts of the bottle using distress ink in Frayed Burlap. Because I love altering the Silver Bottle Caps from the Kraft Journal, I painted this one in Heirloom White spray paint from Krylon. Next I punched a 1" circle of the Vintage Music Sheet paper and adhered it to the top of the painted bottle cap. I wrapped some Hand Stained Seam binding to the neck of the bottle and topped it off using a large spacer bead from Bead Landing and a paper flower from Wild Orchid Crafts. </div>

Welcome everyone to another <a href="http://thekraftjournal.blogspot.com/">Kraft Journal Challenge</a>! My apologies for last week's post. I was not well. Being sick in the summer time is no fun I tell you that. I am feeling so much better now! This week we have a sketch challenge for you.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2UXf0rXAga-sHGS0dxfl3tmwAGqIDP4NdCMQVtyJDuNbtHIEMHGInubkd-XN_OGNHq2xytyH5kHBAVJQ_8IYZN3gwnMCAed_YVRxgchi7EcJtcQ8QCSn4YavjyeKXYitNwOxVTiuZA60/s1600/sketch181.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2UXf0rXAga-sHGS0dxfl3tmwAGqIDP4NdCMQVtyJDuNbtHIEMHGInubkd-XN_OGNHq2xytyH5kHBAVJQ_8IYZN3gwnMCAed_YVRxgchi7EcJtcQ8QCSn4YavjyeKXYitNwOxVTiuZA60/s1600/sketch181.jpg" height="320" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For my card I followed the sketch. I started with a <a href="http://www.kraftoutlet.com/Lunch-Bag-Kraft-Cover-Weight-Cardstock-_p_20.html">Lunch Bag Kraft </a>cardstock. Next I matted some <a href="http://www.kraftoutlet.com/Vintage-Sheet-Music-Pages_p_319.html">Vintage Sheet Music Paper</a> onto some <a href="http://www.kraftoutlet.com/Blackboard-Stock-Paper-_p_55.html">Blackboard Stock Paper</a>. </div>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I distressed the music paper with some frayed burlap ink. For the sketch elements I used some ephemera from the <a href="http://www.kraftoutlet.com/Ephemera-Pack--Thrift-Shop_p_330.html">Thrift Shop Ephemera</a> pack, along with some patterned paper from Prima's Romance Novel. I created a banner and stamped my sentiment. I hope everyone has enjoyed the weekend. Here in the U.S we celebrated Independence Day last Friday. My little family went down to San Antonio to enjoy family and friends at a barbecue. My little darlings had so much fun. <br />
<br />
There were so many fabulous entries in last weeks "Red White and Blue" challenge. I can't wait to see what you all come up with in this week's "Sea and Sand" challenge over at the Kraft Journal. For my project I pulled out an old stamp set from Stampin Up called Crab and Company.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTNyl1tm5N8Kz76Co2PTSCFd5dTuFdveeUZOtiYV1jY6D-c7eN5Pv7gTKWy-djXGLP3cGHPjA4LMhMsMLfhcfvaJcVwHNoAqdyOBYhGFUmkqbKK_mmeHLHaFdF5rP3Jcuyu-2XwqXsJOg/s1600/TKJ178sea.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTNyl1tm5N8Kz76Co2PTSCFd5dTuFdveeUZOtiYV1jY6D-c7eN5Pv7gTKWy-djXGLP3cGHPjA4LMhMsMLfhcfvaJcVwHNoAqdyOBYhGFUmkqbKK_mmeHLHaFdF5rP3Jcuyu-2XwqXsJOg/s1600/TKJ178sea.jpg" height="320" width="238" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I started with a <a href="http://www.kraftoutlet.com/Lunch-Bag-Kraft-Note-Card-_p_112.html">Lunch Bag Kraft Note card</a>. I love having these on hand to for quick card making, and because they come with a coordinating envelope I'm ready to pop this little cutie in the mail! </div>
I first added some gingham paper which I tied a bow around using some seam binding, and <a href="http://www.kraftoutlet.com/Bright-Hemp-Cord_p_233.html">Bright Hemp Cord</a>. Next I adhered the gingham piece down. Using a circle die and pinked circle die from Spellbinders nestabilites I added my "Sandy" scene! I created the sand using some sand printed pattern paper along with some <a href="http://www.kraftoutlet.com/Vintage-Dictionary-Pages_p_271.html">Vintage dictionary pages</a>. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7fcnwM7SD4C0ovgcjZ4aDryTje5q1bODPRdC1kEgz4biT1wjibynzz2CRaUKlTZZGM47rBIKJg7Q8SmnhX9oGqInrK3WoZs0Ix1_jhXRXsg9Z-k-ojpfXlByKbJawOhgsE73o2r1TYGo/s1600/TKJ178seasand.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7fcnwM7SD4C0ovgcjZ4aDryTje5q1bODPRdC1kEgz4biT1wjibynzz2CRaUKlTZZGM47rBIKJg7Q8SmnhX9oGqInrK3WoZs0Ix1_jhXRXsg9Z-k-ojpfXlByKbJawOhgsE73o2r1TYGo/s1600/TKJ178seasand.jpg" height="320" width="230" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
To create the sky, I blended shades of blue using Copic markers. Next I stamped my crab and present image and colored with my Copic markers. I adhered them onto the scene setting the crab slightly off the circle. To finish my card I used the sentiment that came along with the stamp set. I love the way this one turned out. I hope you all have a chance to play along this week and have as much fun creating! Our design team has more inspiration for you to get your creative juices flowing. Just hop on over to The Kraft Journal to take a look! </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Starting with a Lunch bag Kraft cardstock I matted some red gingham patterned paper from my scrap pile. To keep my scrap pile low I make it a point to try to make a card entirely from scraps and embellishment I have on hand. Next I used some die cuts I have had for over a year! I matted a K&Co die onto some Buff Ivory decorative edge circle which I distressed using old paper distress ink from Ranger. Using some more of the K&Co dies I added some glittered stars and a banner. The flair piece is from Jenni Bowlin. Next I added a memo pin with a small banner. I hope you have a chance to play along this week over at the Kraft Journal. Be sure to stop the Kraft Journal blog to see what our fabulous design team has created to further inspire you! Thank you of stopping by and have a great week!</div>

I started out with a Kraft cardstock base. Next I matted some patterned paper from K&Co. I distressed the edges using some white paint. Next I stamped my sentiment using a stamp from Verve onto some Buff Ivory Cardstock. Using a die from My Favorite Things I cut a <a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/die-namics/oval-decorative-doily-duo-die-namics">Decorative Doily</a>. Next I tucked a calendar sticker from the <a href="http://www.kraftoutlet.com/Salvage-Stickers--Lost-and-Found_p_184.html">Lost and Found</a> Salvage sticker pack. To bring out the coral color I added a Prima flower. The leaves were hand cut from some burlap I had on hand and a seam binding bow I tied using <a href="http://www.kraftoutlet.com/Hand-Stained-Bias-Tape--Oatmeal-Cream_p_312.html">Oatmeal Cream</a>. To finish my card I added another sticker from the <a href="http://www.kraftoutlet.com/Salvage-Stickers--Lost-and-Found_p_184.html">Lost and Found Salvage</a> sticker pack, which I distressed using more of the white paint. I hope you have a chance to play along with us this week. </div>

What! I feel like I just blinked and it's already the middle of June. No worries though we have a great challenge for you over at the Kraft Journal. One of my favorite styles is Shabby Chic and this week that is our challenge theme. <br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For my card I started with a <a href="http://www.kraftoutlet.com/Buff-Ivory-Cover-Weight-Cardstock-_p_19.html">Buff Ivory</a> cardstock as my base. Next I layered some digital patterned paper from and Etsy store <a href="https://www.etsy.com/listing/107728392/rose-chic-backgrounds-collage-digital?ref=shop_home_active_13">here</a>. Of course I couldn't help myself and added some <a href="http://www.kraftoutlet.com/Hand-Stained-Bias-Tape--Rose-Beige_p_310.html">Rose Beige</a> seam binding from the <a href="http://www.kraftoutlet.com/">Kraft Outlet</a>, along with some lace from my stash. Next I stamped my sentiment onto some more of the <a href="http://www.kraftoutlet.com/Buff-Ivory-Cover-Weight-Cardstock-_p_19.html">Buff Ivory</a> cardstock and matted it onto some certain celery cardstock. I tucked a <a href="http://www.kraftoutlet.com/Salvage-Stickers--French-Industrial_p_186.html">Salvage Sticker</a> behind the sentiment. To finish my card I added a <a href="http://www.kraftoutlet.com/Chipboard-Buttons--Office_p_282.html">chipboard button </a>threaded with some Natural Hemp cord, along with some green buttons. I hope you have a chance to play along this week.
