Birthday Challenge

Wednesday is here again and that means it's another challenge over at the Papercraft Star!  This week we have an easy challenge for you.  Create a project using a Birthday theme.  For my card I decided to use a bright and cheery color pallet.   I used some patterned papers from an old Key Ingredients Taylored Expressions kit.  I stamped a frame using a Verve stamp set in a pink pirouette ink.  Using a coordinating die I cut the frame out.  The baja breeze ribbon from SU matched perfectly.  I tied a simple bow and added a gem button along with some prima flourishes.  That does it for my card.  My husband and I are terrible at remembering birthdays of our aunts and uncles, cousins and even grandparents.  Having a few birthday cards in the car have come in pretty handy when we go to visit.  There has been more than one occasion when we stopped by for a visit to find a birthday celebration had been going on!  Talk about awkward!!!  Well I look forward to seeing what you create!

Why Hello There!

It's Wednesday once again and it's time for another challenge over at the Papercraft Star!  This week we welcome our newest designer to our team Allisa Chilton!  You can check out her fabulous work on her blog:  Rocky Mountain Paper Crafts.  This week we challenge you to create a project with the theme "Hello".  For my card I created a little note card.  I plan on making a few of these little beauties...if only I can find the stamp I used.  The patterned paper is a digital image from Iralamija, and the lace is from my stash.  I used a Waltzing Mouse stamp for the Labels 14 die (which I have misplaced).  The sentiment is from Clear Art Stamps and the butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch.  This little note card came together so quickly, I have several done just waiting for a the sentiment.  Stop by the Papercraft Star to see what the other designers have came up with.  Just a small reminder to look over our rules on the side bar of the PCS site.  I love seeing what everyone creates, and thank you for stopping by.

Hugs,
Anitra

Valentine

Good Wednesday morning!  I hope all are well.  This week's challenge over at the Papercraft Star is to use the color red in your card or project.  What a perfect color for the up coming Valentines Day.  For my card I have use a fun polka dot paper from Authentique.  I then used an adorable image from an Etsy shop called Iralamija.  Using an EK success punch I created a little bit of paper made to look like lace and tucked it behind the image.  For my banner I cut the hearts and numbers from a patterned paper from My Mind's Eye.  Because I wanted the banner to really pop I adhered some gorgeous lace I had in my stash.  I tend to hold on to things admiring them so much I don't want to use them.   Then I see a show like "Hoarders" and I immediately feel guilty!  I just love how this card turned out!  I hope you jump right in and play along in this week's challenge.  Pop on over to the Papercraft Star's blog to see what our Design Team have come up with to inspire you!

Love challenge

Wednesday here and we have a great challenge for you this week over at the Papercraft Star! For my card I was inspired by a sweet little digital image of two adorable girls.  Using digital pattern papers from Iralamija, this card came together so quickly.  I hope you join us this week!  For more inspiration please check out the other DT members at the Papercraft Star.
