This week's challenge at the
Play Date Cafe is to use FIVE colors: red, pale blue, pink, bright blue and burgundy. Wow, now that's a challenge! For my project this week, I wanted to make a purse. My little girl loves purses! She's only a year old and already drags my purse around anytime she can. I used a soft pink paper with a brown newsprint from My Mind's Eye called Lost and Found. I wanted to make this project more durable so I used an iron-on vinyl over my paper. I simply placed my paper face down to the sticky side of the vinyl, covered it with the protective sheet and activated the adhesive by ironing all over the paper. Using the vinyl helped the purse keep its shape. With all the adhesive it takes to adhere 3D projects, sometimes papers and cardstock can get torn or wrinkled. This purse came together fairly quickly. I added embellishments to the front along with a little lace ribbon and called it a day. Wouldn't this make a great gift bag! Thanks for stopping by.
The Sleepy Stamper
In this picture it's hard to tell but the Victorian image is actually wearing a burgundy dress. I love scraps by Crafty Secrets. This one reminded me of my little girl, my sweetheart.
