This week's challenge over at the
Papercraft Star blog is to use a photo from Martha Stewart Living as inspiration to create a Christmas-themed card or tag. Easy right? There is a catch! The photo is of a summer decorated room! Looking at the photo I think of a warm summer day, listening to the waves gently break in the distance. Ah, serenity... But, for my card, I went for a winter look by stamping snowflakes on white card stock in different shades of blue. I then went over it with a glue pen and added glitter to give it sparkle. Once all my papers were adhered to my card front, I took a snowflake ornament and hung it from a Tattered Angle's frame. A few more embellishments, and my card was done. I don't know if I created that same tranquil feeling when looking at my card, but I definitely like the finished product. Thank you for stopping by, and have a great weekend.

I would agree, tranquility and serenity are reflected in your gorgeous card. We don't often think of those attributes during the holiday season, so you have done something unusual here I think. Really really love it. Thanks again for being with us at Papercraft Star this week - we love your talent !!
