This week at the
Play Date Cafe blog the challenge is to use the colors: stucco orange, celery green, and white. The designers for this blog are, as always, so inspirational. This week however I was inspired by the kindness of a complete stranger. You see, last Monday I was involved in a car accident. A man who had been drinking ran a red light and hit my vehicle at an intersection. All airbags in my SUV deployed, and after being hit twice I came to a stop. I was so confused, how could I possible be hit? A woman knocked on my window and asked if I was ok. She then helped me from my car and carefully walked me out of harm's way. When I was asked if anyone else was in the car I broke down in tears. Just ten minutes earlier I was ready to put my little baby in the car, had it not been for my husband who suggested she stay home to take her bath early. Although I was grateful that I was the only one in the car, the idea of my children potentially being there tore me up. The lady who sat with me asked if she could pray for me and I just nodded. She then prayed that the Lord would ease my fears and fill me with calmness and the Lord's grace. That was all I needed. She wished me well as I was taken to the hospital. I wish I knew her name so I could thank her. I wanted to thank her for stopping to help, the prayer, and for having the courage to get involved. This project is dedicated to my kind stranger. I hope one day we will meet again, but in better circumstances. Thank you for stopping by my bloggy friends.
