Clean and Simple Happy Birthday

Clean and Simple other wise known as CAS. Well sounds easy enough. For a gal like me who LOVES embellishments I have to say I kept feeling like I was forgetting something. I wanted to participate in the Kraft Journal Blog's Clean and Simple challenge so I had to choose my embellishments carefully. How I approached this challenge was to pick things that I love and that would not only shine but be a SUPER STAR! Recently I purchased some vintage laces and trims for the bargain price of $3. I used one of those trims as my shining star. To keep it in a vintage look I distressed the edges of my kraft and buff ivory cardstock. I used the buff ivory cardstock to stamp my sentiment on because it has a linen texture to it. I wish I could get a close up of how the sentiment looks once stamped on this type of cardstock. It really does look like the image is printed on fabric. Other than matting my sentiment on a scalloped oval there not much to this card. I look forward to seeing the other entries to this challenge and discovering others take on Clean and Simple. Thanks for taking a look.
