Papercraft Star Challenge 108

It's that time again!  Our challenge over at the Papercraft Star is to include something from a fair or carnival in your project!  I have to admit I"m not too familiar with fairs or carnivals.  To be honest I've never even been to the circus.  For my card I found an image of a ferris wheel which I stamped in rose red.  To add an carnival element I used a ticket corner punch.  The background paper was created by using scraps from October Afternoon's "Five and Dime" paper pack.  The base is a choice buttercream cardstock from Taylored Expressions.  I added some seam binding along with a coordinating flag also from October Afternoon.  After a total creative block I have to say I really liked how this turned out.  I hope you have a chance to play along this week for your chance to win some fabulous images from our sponsor THATB.  For you chance to win just link up your project by 6:00 am Est for you chance to win.  Please be sure to check out our spotlight designer Jan to see how she has used the lovely images from our sponsor.  This week is also Jinny's last week here at the Papercraft Star.  I have really enjoyed seeing her beautiful work and am inspired every week with her stunning creations.  Please stop by her blog Soaring and see her stunning work, as we all wish her well in her new adventures!

Hugs,
Anitra

  3. The "patchwork" is perfect for this challenge ! One place we visit is Circus Circus in Reno, and all the colors and patterns on the Midway fit right into this card. Wonderful ideas, Anitra !! Hugs to you !! -J-

  4. I've never been to the circus either, Anitra! And here I thought that I was the only one ;). LOVE that patchwork background and the way your Ferris wheel takes center stage! Thank you, too, for the thoughtful well wishes! You've been such a doll to get to design with and get to know. Hugs!
