For my next project I created a simple card musing the Mojo Monday sketch 251. I matted some patterned paper on some Early Expresso card stock along with a piece from the digital image maps 059. The sentiment was stamped on very vanilla cardstock and distressed using tea dye. Some seam binding from Paper Loves Glue etsy shop tied in a little bow finishes my card. Simple and the map coordinates perfectly with this London Market paper line!
My last project is using water slid paper. I have wanted to do this for such a long time now. I love the look of water slides on painted furniture and bottles. I am also a big fan of the Polka Dot Closet blog where I got the inspiration for this project. I started out with a tray I had purchased from a Hancock Fabric store many years ago that happened to be closing. I painted it using heirloom white paint. I then followed the directions for printing on the water slide paper. Next I coated the image using glossy clear paint form Krylon. I put 2 coats of this finish waiting the recomended 10 mins between each coat. Once the finish was totally dry I soaked it in some water which released the mage allowing me to place it on my painted tray. I have to say this is AWESOME! I so love this look and am anxious to try alother project using water slide paper. Let's see what fabulous projects you create!
