Papercraft Star Sketch Challenge

Good Saturday morning!  With such ugly weather predicted for this weekend I plan on doing a lot of card crafting!  I finished this one last night.  I used some patterned paper from The Luxury Stack by DCWV.  The patterned paper has a variety of soft pastels.  In person they are so pretty, but in photos...well I'm afraid my picture just doesn't do it justice.  I used the sketch from Papercraft Star's blog challenge for this week.  There's a great tutorial for making tissue flowers on the blog that I just had to try out. You can try your hand at making these flowers yourself by viewing the tutorial here.  Each week the challenges are creative and fun.  I love that they post the challenges for the months ahead in the challenge tab of the blog giving readers plenty of time to participate.  I hope everyone has a great and safe weekend, and thanks for taking a peek.

The Sleepy Stamper,

Tissue flowers from the tutorial!

Paper:  Butter cream card stock from Taylored Expressions, patterned card stock from DCWV
Ink:  Distress inks, memento rich cocoa
Stamps:  Golden hours stamp from Crafty Secrets
Embellishments:  Seam binding from Wrights, heart sticker from Martha Stewart, Spellbinders

  2. Wow, I love those those flowers too ! I have the same issue with that particular paper - it is amazingly beautiful, and it photographs not so well. I think the shimmer and richness of the paper adds so much to the card. Thanks for playing with us this week at Papercraft Star - I always enjoy seeing your creations !!
