Pintrest Inspired!

Good Monday morning everyone!  I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!  I myself am glad this weekend is over and I can move on from a very trying few days.   What better way to start off the week than with a fun challenge from the Kraft Journal!  This week we want to see how you are inspired by Pintrest!  The fabulous design team over at the Kraft Journal has some wonderful inspiration for you.  For my card I was inspired by this photo of this charming sweater.  I love the colors and all the layers of lace.

For my card I started out with a Lunch Bag Kraft cardstock.  I then matted some Buff Ivory cardstock that I had embossed using a Sizzix embossing folder.  I just love the texture it created.

I then created a frame using the small Precut Chipboard.  I ran the chipboard through my Big Shot using a Sizzix nestabalities die.  I added my sentiment using a stamp from Verve and stamped in a Soft Sky ink.  To bring in some more of the great lunch bag cardstock I created a rolled flower using a Sizzix Bigz die.  Two smaller roses from Wild Orchid Crafts were added along with some fun gathered trim.

To finish off my card I added a seam binding bow in Aqua Mist with a vintage button in the center.  I look forward to seeing what you create.  As always, participants in our weekly challenges have a chance to be selected as our Featured Artist and showcased on one of our "Feature Me Fridays" posts. Each month Kraft Outlet will randomly give away a $15.00 Store Voucher at www.KraftOutlet.com!  Thank you so much for stopping by.

Rain!

Good Monday morning once again!  I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend!  We spent our Easter Sunday with my aunt and many of my cousins and their families.  Spending time with my extended family is always such a treat.  This week over at the Kraft Journal we have a Rain themed challenge for you.  For my card I created this using a Brown Kraft from the Kraft Outlet.  I used patterned papers from Crate Paper, and the darling little image is from My Favorite Things Stamps.  I stamped the image onto some white cardstock and paper pieced her umbrella, rain coat and boots.  Paper piecing is such a fun way to add pattern to images without having to color them.  Using embellishment from the Kraft Outlet I added a file tab, and a seam binding bow along with a sentiment I created using stickers from a Jenni Bowling Hodge Podge Magpie stickers.

I then used a die from Paper tray ink to create a lace looking edge using some more of the Kraft cardstock from The Kraft Outlet.  This card was so fun to make I just love how it turned out.  I hope you join in the fun and play along with us over at the Kraft Journal. For more inspiration from the talented design team please stop by the Kraft Journal blog.  I hope you have a wonderful week and thank you for stopping by.

Monday morning and I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!  The weekends just go by to fast.  Well no worries we have a wonderful challenge over at the Kraft Journal to get your week started off right.  This week's challenge is Bunnies/Lambs.  For my card I went with bunnies!  I started out using a Brown Kraft Note Card from the Kraft Outlet.  These little cards come with the envelopes and make  creating cards a breeze!  I matted some Vintage Dictionary paper along with some patterned paper from Graphic 45's Once Upon a Springtime.  I then cut a piece of Blackboard Stock paper and off matted a sweet little image from and Etsy store, Iralamija.  I then tucked a file tab sticker from the Hodge Podge Magpie Sticker sheet.  Next I used one of my favorite embellishments, some Strawberry Short Cake seam binding.  To finish off my card I added a rosette from The Girl's Paperie, and punched an image from the Graphic 45 patterned paper to adhere to the center.

I hope you find time to play along in our challenge this week.  I look forward to seeing what you create and as always be sure to check out what the fabulous design team has created to further inspire you on the Kraft Journal blog.

Anitra

Cotton Bags

Good Monday morning!  I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!  We have a great challenge for you this week over at the Kraft Journal.  This week's theme is Paris/France.  For my project I used these adorable "Cotton Drawstring Bags".  I started out by using some iron on transfer paper.  I simply chose an image from an Etsy shop called By Digital Paper, the Paris Tags sheet, and followed the directions on the transfer sheet package.  These little cotton bags were perfect to use the iron on sheets.  I had no problems transferring the image.  I then added some lace to the top of the bag and ran some "Hand Stained Bias Tape", in Vintage Winter White, Rose Petal Cupcake, and Rose Beige.

For an added embellishment I use some "Silver Bottle Caps", which I customized by painting them in an Heirloom white paint.  I then stamped a crown image onto some patterned paper and punched out using a 1" circle punch.  Next using a 1/8" hole punch I punched a hole on the top edge and added a jump ring and attached the embellishment to the seam binding.

These sweet little bags came out so adorable!  They are perfect for creating sachets, or even using them to package a small gift.

I just love how the bottle caps came out and I know I will be recreating these little bottle caps again!
