Gift

Hello friends.  I hope everyone is enjoying their weekends.  Living here in Central Texas it's been a difficult week.  Wild fires seem like they have been all around us.  Between being scared we'd have to evacuate and doing what we can to help our fellow Texans and the firefighters who have come form all over the country, there hasn't been too much time spent at my crafting table.  I did manage to make a gift for my mom for Grandparents Day.  Using Audrey Pettit's tutorial from the Kraft Journal, I made a gift pouch and filled it with sweets.  She made her's from Burlap and it is just SO cute!  I changed mine a bit and use a doily.  I added a flower made from the lunch bag cardstock.  I die cut the flower elements from a Tim Holtz die and inked the edges with craft white.  I then added diamond stickels to the petals for a little sparkle.  The flourish was cut from a Hello Kitty sizzix die.  I tucked a bow made from seam binding under the flower along with a leaf from Recollections.  I stiched the doily together using some bakers twine and tucked my sweet treats inside.  Thank you so much Audrey loved the tutorial, and I think Grandma will love her gift from the kiddies!  Thank you so much for stopping by.

Anitra
