Handmade Flowers Challenge
Hello friends! I hope everyone is having a wonderful week. We have another fun challenge over at the Papercraft Star. This week's challenge is given to you by Ros, and I have been waiting for this challenge ever since I saw it! All you have to do it to use a handmade flower in one of your project. I just love handmade flowers! From paper to zippers, fabric to resin handmade flowers carry so much charm. For my card I wanted to make flowers from ric-rac and trim. Using some basic black cardstock as my base I matted some baja blue cardstock. The pattern paper is from Prima's Lyric paper pad. The image is a digital image from an Esty store called Iralamija, on of my favorite digital image stores. I then added my flowers and some bling. I then tied a small piece of seam binding to finish my card off. I hope you have a chance to play along this week. I look forward to seeing all your wonderful creations. Be sure to check the rest of the design team's creation for more awesome inspiration!

Mini File Folders
Wednesday is here and Deanne has a fun challenge for you over at the Papercraft Star. There is an amazing photo to inspire you along with the wonderful projects our design team has come up with. For my project I have made Mini File Folder Journals. These are so fun to make! I made my own template for the mini file folder. Using paper from My Mind's Eye along with vellum, ledger paper, and a paper bag for the inside pages, i sewed them into the mini file folder. A perfect little mini journal. These three are for a swap I'm in over at Your Paper Pantry, but I look forward to making more of these little beauties!
I hope you get a chance to play along this week and thank you for stopping by!

Pastels
Hello all my blog land friends. Today is Wednesday and time for another challenge over at the Papercraft Star. This week I was given the opportunity to choose this week's challenge. I just love the soft look of pastels. I found this lovely photo to use for inspiration if you choose.
For my project I used digital images from The House Across The Bay's Shabby dot. I made a "PARTY" banner using a Spellbinder's die along with some chipboard letters.
Using flowers from Wild Orchid I add a mint and pink flower to the corner. A Martha Stewart doily sits under the chipboard "P" which I inked up using an aqua chalk ink.
For the "a" I used a sweet rosette from The Girl's Paperie along with coordinating die cuts.
The "R" is embellished using more of the die cuts from The Girls Paperie and coordinating flower. Using a frame from Tattered Angles I framed up the letter.
For the "T" I embellished using some lace from Webster's pages and a chipboard letter from Making Memories.
The "Y" is embellished with a handmade flower using some text paper.
I hope you have a chance to play along this week I would love to see what you create! Be sure to check out what our fabulous design team has created to inspire you. Thank you for stopping by.

Sunny Days
Hello everyone. I'm back after a much needed brake. I have been so busy with volunteering at my son's elementary school. So many events were happening this week that we had to prepare for. By Friday at 1:00 p.m Field Day will be over and no more school events until the last day of school!!! I hope you are all having a good week and can play along this week over at the Papercraft Star. This week we challenge you to use a sun in your project. For my card I used this week's Mojo Monday sketch. I started with a yellow card stock as my base and added pattern papers from Authentique's Renew. The sentiment was typed out and printed on white card stock. I stitched each paper and matted them on coordinating card stock. That does it for my card. I look forward to seeing what you create. Don't forget if you haven't commented on last Friday's tutorial please do so for you chance to win a small giveaway! Our design team has done some beautiful work in this challenge so be sure to stop by the http://papercraftstar.blogspot.com/ blog to take a look. Thank you for stopping by.
