Umbrellas Challenge

Welcome to another challenge over at he Papercraft Star!  Last we had a wonderful turn out with some amazing projects!  Well done everyone!  To see the winning entries click here, and don't forget to pick up the free image from our sponsor, The House Across The Bay.  This week's challenge is to use an umbrella in your project.  Using the sketch from Card Patterned Sketch 160,  I started with a Yo Yo Yellow card base.  Next I matted some polka dot paper from October Afternoon's collection "5 and dime".  Then I matted some more paper from October Afternoon, this time from the "Sidewalks" collection to a green cardstock and cut a dove tail.  This darling image is from MFT stamps Pure Innocence line, called "My Umbrella".  I just adore this line of stamps.  I colored her using Copics and paper pieced her little gingham rain coat.  I thought about adding crystal effects to the rain coat, but honestly I don't like waiting, and that stuff takes FOREVER to dry.  LOL!  The lacy oval is a die from MFT stamps called "Oval Decorative Doily".  Some Prima flowers accent the top of the oval, and the sentiment was punched out using a word window punch from SU.  That does it for my little card this time around.  Check out the rest of our design teams creations for more fun projects using umbrellas!  For you chance to win just link up your project by 6:00 am. EST for you chance to win some digital images from your sponsor The House Across The Bay.  Sylvia is our spotlight designer, and she has made a beautiful project using some lovely images from THATB!  Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful week!

  2. Those MFT images really are cuties. :-) She's super sweet Anitra. I'm pretty impatient with things that have to dry too. LOL Don't know how many times I've stuck my fingers in wet Stickles. :-)
