Good Wednesday morning! it's time for another challenge to get you over the hump. This week over at
The Papercraft Star we challenge you to create a project using a French theme. We have a great inspriational image to use if you choose, or for more inspiration check what our designers have come up with. Our spotlight designer
Jinny has created a card using images from our sponsor
The House Across The Bay that get's me wondering...How did she do that?! Definately one to check out! For my card I started out with a Sage Shadow cardstock base and adhered papers from one of my new favorite paper packs the This and That collection! Using a stamp from Crafty Secrets Clear Arts Stamps, I stamped and image of the Eiffel tower on the blush paper. I liked the way it looks like it's in the background. The image I used on this card is from THATB
French Theater Posters digi sheet 189. Since I don't speak French, I had to look up the translation of "Jardin de Paris", which I read translate to Paris Garden. So flowers it was for embellishments! I just loved the vivid colors in this digi image. It was easy to add some lace, seam binding, and prima flowers. I showed this one to my hubby and in typical man fashion he says, "oh yea nice". Then when I gave him "the look" he then says, "but I don't understand why the key is there". Well! I simply told him... well maybe it's a secret garden and you need A KEY to get in!!! He has now lost his previewing my cards priviliges. lol. Now it's your turn! Just create a project using this week's theme and link them up by Monday 6:00 a.m. EST for your chance to win some digital images from our sponsor. Wishing you a wonderful week and thanks for stopping by.
Hugs,
Anitra

Anitra, Your card is beautiful, but I love the story better! Why is it so like a man to ask why something is on a card? I would have said,"Because it is French!". How funny! Love the colors in your card as well. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteOh this is wonderful Anitra! I love that floral paper you used paired with the image and that key sticker is a really fun embellie. Beautiful! hugs!
