Anything Goes!
Another Wednesday and another challenge from the Papercraft Star! This week's challenge is an Anything Goes challenge!!! Yes that's right, I would love to see what projects you come up with. For my project I made a pincushion using an image from our sponsor The House Across The Bay, which I printed onto fabric. I cropped one of the images from Shabby Chic ATC 182 and resized it to measure approximately 4" x 6". Once the image was printed on the fabric I heat set it using my iron on the hottest setting. Then placing the right sides together, I stitched the top and bottom together leaving a small opening. Once I turned the fabric right side out I stuffed with polyester stuffing, and hand sewed the opening closed. A few embellishments in the corners using a pink ribbon flower and two paper flowers adhered with a fabric adhesive accents the top. The lace trim was also adhered with the fabric glue. This made the perfect place to store my stick pins I made using various crystals and beads I had purchased at my local bead shop. I had just found a bead shop in my area I had no idea was there. They had so many beautiful and unique beads. However: I don't know how to make jewelry, so stick pins it was! I have to say they came out so super cute, and would look so sweet on layouts and cards! Well that does it for my project. I'd love to see what you come up with! Just link your project up by 6:00 am ESt for your chance to win some lovely images from The House Across The Bay. I know there are so many creative crafters out there that play our challenges. I look forward to seeing what you come up with! For further inspiration stop by our spotlight designer Jennifer, to see how she used images from The House Across the Bay. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week!
