Easter Greetings

Hello everyone.  Wednesday once again and this week the Papercraft Star brings an Easter Challenge for you this week.  I've been making tags like crazy!  I just love vintage images.  My first tag I used a vintage image I purchased as a mixed media package long ago.  I added bits of prima trim and bling along with a handmade felt flower and ribbon flowers purchased from the Michaels $1.50 bins.

For my next tag I used a digital image from Iralamija, an Etsy store.  Another handmade flower in the corner with some velvet ribbon and lace from my stash.  Super cute and easy.

On this tag I used another image from Iralamija.  I cut it using some Spellbinders dies and added some more prima trim and bling.  I wrapped some tulle and made a pearl cluster using head pins and pearls from some broken jewlery.

On my last tag I cut the digital image using a Spellbinders die and hand cut a mat using sky blue cardstock.  I tied a simple ribbon along with some lace and adhered a ribbon flower to the top.

I do hope you give this one a try.  I look forward to seeing what you create.

Birds Challenge

Hello!  I hope everyone is having a wonderful week.  It's Wednesday again an this week over at the Papercraft Star we have another challenge for you.  This week the design team has created some beautiful cards to inspire you.  This week we challenge you to use a bird in your projects.  For my card I went with a vintage distressed look.  I used an image from Heartwarming Vintage scraps from Crafty Secrets.  The patterned papers were random bits and pieces from Prima, K&Co, and Graphic 45.  A bit of lace is tucked under the seam binding and I used some burlap threads to further embellish the bow.  As always we have an inspiration photo to use if you choose.  I look forward to seeing what you come up with.  Who know maybe you could be the next Papercraft Star!

Green, Green, Green

Hello my blog land friends!  I hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far.  My kiddies are on spring break from school this week, so it has been a mad house at home.  Big thank you to everyone who commented on the "Stick Pin Tutorial".  I do hope you This week over at the Papercraft Star our challenges is to use the color green in your card.  We have a wonderful inspiration photo for you to use if you choose.

For me the color green and me are NOT friends.  I don't really care for this color and always have found it hard to use it either in quilts, or my papercrafts.  Here's what I came up with.

I started with a buttercream card base and added papers from Graphic 45.  I took inspiration from the photo and used a fairy image in a green setting.  I added a bit of stickles to the fairy wings and butterfly wings.  I had a few little pieces of scrap papers and matted them to some artichoke cardstock.  A few flowers in the corner and that finishes my card.  I hope you get a chance to play along this week.  For more inspiration please visit the other design team members.

Kitchen card

Hello sunny Wednesday.  I hope everyone is having a good week!  We have a super fun challenge this week over at the Papercraft Star.  This week we challenge you to use your kitchen colors to inspire you.  Unfortunately I don't really have kitchen colors.  I'm in the process of repainting so I'm not sure what color the kitchen will end up being.  I used the theme I went with when we first moved in, which was cherries.  Back then I found it difficult to find anything with cherries on it.  I had to make my own curtains and my mom hand embroidered tea towels for me.  For my card I started with a real red cardstock.  I matted some designer patterned paper from SU (retired).  I then used this vintage scrap image from Crafty Secret Heartwarming Vintage images.  I matted this vintage style image with some Kiwi Kiss cardstock and added a simple grosgrain ribbon.  I do hope you join us this week and be sure to take a peek at what our design team has come up with to further inspire you!

Hugs,
Anitra
